It's a marketing buzzword from some US defense company. It stands for "multi-role electronically scanned array", but what it actually means is mediocre electronically scanned array. It's not an engineering term with actual meaning like PESA or AESA.

It's the name of the radar itself.

In the same way that "EOTS" and "EODAS" are the names of the specific subsystems on the F-35, and do not refer to the entire class or type of sensors.

Pretty sure EOTS was used for anti air missiles too?

I don't understand what you mean.

EOTS stands for "Electro Optic Targeting System," which is the brand/trade name for the AAQ-40 system on the F-35 specifically.

I'm not sure which anti-air missile you are talking about, but the point of my reply was of course referring to the use of the name "EOTS" which has been incorrectly used in a generic manner to describe other similar chin mounted electro optic systems, when it is technically only the trade name for the AAQ-40.

Ok, not sure about electro optic trageting system. I was thinking of the electro optical tracking system on missiles like Hawk.

Siege wants his J-20 flavoured sausage packs too, don't forget.

On topic, you think once the dual seaters go into production they will stop with the singles, or continue building both, since loyal wingmen seem to be the future?
impossible to say beforehand.
If I'd be guessing, the current plan is probably both, with the majority remaining to be singles.
But it can go either way.
