EW variant?
I have no idea. Whatever it is, if it is real, it either has not been photographed or people has held on to those pictures or it does not have any major external differences compared to other J-20s.
1. J-20 (original with AL-31s and later made with WS-10C)
2. J-20A (identifiable with different canopy hump, WS-10 variant and WS-15, surface is now a darker material and at least one photographed with what appears to be a new gap control for the leading edge slats)
3. J-20S (dual seater for drone and CCA control command, also with new surface material that appears darker than previous batches of J-20 produced)
4. J-20x - supposed 4th type of J-20 and no doubt separate to J-20A and J-20S since those two are the latest batch types of their respective sub-platform. This could be EW focused? Drone command is covered. It can't be a dedicated air to ground since there are stealth UAVs for that and much better suited manned aircraft platforms with deeper magazines if stealth isn't required. Naval version is the only other possibility.
