Is there any kind of conformation that the WS-15 is now in production and service. We know over at the Y-20 that the WS-20 is now in service.

Why is China keeping things like this a secret. Why can't they just come out and say that the WS-20 and the WS-15 are now in production and service.
Just some months ago there was the first footage of a J-20 firing a missile and you are here angry for the lack of official news about the WS-15 lol

Did you know that just until some time ago the new QBZ rifle was still getting pixelated and blurred by the PLA on military footage of Chinese soldiers doing common exercises...

Can you link me the footage of J-20 firing a missile?

The strongest state of the J-20 is to install a binary vector engine, similar to the engine on the F22. Unfortunately, due to the development of artificial intelligence, it will not develop in this direction. It will still use the ordinary version of the WS-15 engine. If the F22 can achieve and With the size of the J-20, it should be more powerful.

Either I'm being baited (again) or Orca somehow managed to record the start-up sound of WS-15? He noted that there's a howl when it's in low RPM, and the noise is practically identical to the F119's low RPM spooling noise.

WS-15 is from 00:26 on until the F135 clip. The footages before that is for comparison. As for why an AMCA image is being shown instead:

He jokingly said it's an Indian engine since he said "an eastern superpower".

But can someone explain why this howling noise exists even if it isn't the WS-15? Some sort of resonance during low RPM?

How many years have you been on SDF now lol.

We have no right to expect anything from the PLA, and should be grateful for every crumb and pixel they are generous enough to bestow and grace us with.

We should appreciate that we even know what WS-20 and WS-15 are and that we even have names for them.
The point for me is that it doesn't make sense to keep these things a secret in the age of internet, open source intelligence, satellite imagery and communication intercepts. Foreign intelligence services know full well what China has and how many platforms there are and where they are stationed. Then who are they keeping this a secret from.

But then again if China was more open and vocal about its military and other advancements there would have been more tension with the US since they see any kind of progress in China as a threat at this point in time.
