I think the J-6s should almost certainly be the target drone variety given it's at Dingxin.

I’d like to add that the J-20 definitely has fired missiles against target drones based on a Nagy article from a while back. Initially the aircraft had issues targeting the drones due to an error in targeting parameters. After the issue was resolved by technicians, they were able to shoot down all eight of the drones.
