Why not have both? Having own stealth fighters offers a lot of ability that simply having anti-stealth capable (imaginary?) SAMs that have 100% kill probability will not offer. They are still limited in range and operational terrain and also slow to transport. Developing stealth fighters is as important if not more so than simply having them in the inventory (e.g. simply buying them from another country). I think using that old analogy is best; does having a perfectly operating armour negate the usefulness of a gun? USAF is mostly made up of 4th gen fighters, as is Japan's and India's airforces. Striking important targets using stealth strikers and bombers require a country to develop the basic technology from some starting point and most nations do not have and will not have anti-stealth capable SAMs for quite some time.
Hi ougoah I appreciate your reply but as a temporary measures until Chinese airforce come to that magic figure where they can fly out with more stealth fighters what I want to know or you or input is can they detect stealth planes within their range of sams to bring the opponents without losing their planes as the number of stealth
For China is not or will not match the American strength may be another 5-7 down the line if I’m not wrong
So I’m not against the planes but as per the production rate I think China should invest more on stealth detecting
