在活动记者会上杨总介绍了这次飞行表演的特点,说到J20,说本次表演的3架都是现役作战部队的装备,表演的机动性比2016年开放了很多(意思是表演的开放程度是有上级限制要求的),同时提到2016年上级的指示是只允许做通场飞行,他们商量的两架通场后,一架再绕回来通场一次,(如果严格按照上级指示,估计两机通场就绝尘而去了)。

Yang: For your the first question about when the engine will be used on J20... Why are you so sure that it is not used on J20 yet?

I wouldn’t. Complex is ambiguous, and depending on how it’s qualified not always good.I think we could say J-20 would be the most complex aerodynamic machine in all mass-produced aircraft, maybe just the most complex. It generates vortex like crazy, nose, inlet LERX, canard, main wind LERX, all those complex vortex flow combined, it can only be achieved by a country owns all types of wind tunnels and super-computers.
