I think it just do the flight test training,
those people around the airport speak Sichuan dialects, it suppose to be Chendu J-20 airport.
I have the feeling it could be indeed some sort of rehearsal...

Right, at first I was thinking it was older footage, then I was able to clearly see that the airframe had the updated "clipped" tips of later aircraft, so it could very be a dress rehearsal for Zhuhai, and the flight profile would fit that perfectly..
Notice the maneuvering is kept very close to "airshow center", and the aircraft is extremely agile.
theres very little doubt it is Chengdu, so Deino, I'd say theres a high likelihood that the J-20 will fly at Zhuhai this year, that would be a treat....

I am almost certain that it is old footage released recently.
Those were my initial thoughts as well, and som of that footage early looks to be so, but the end footage appears to have the clipped tips.. theres a nice roll toward the end as well as a hard pull up through the vertical, passing through the cloudcover. I think thats new?

Me too. The flight path looks almost identical to the brief show we got from Zhuhai 2016, from a different angle.
I dont remember any rolls at Zhuhai, or that vertical pull, I do think the J-20 will have a more prominent role this year???
