...I am qualifying it with "there is a chance of mass deployment" because the SCMP article is implying that the J-20A with WS-10B we've been hearing about has been canceled and will be replaced by a J-20B (or whatever designation) with a WS-15.
...

To amid I find it now most annoying that You still quote this BS report ...

Avic disclosure according to Icloo
It is a half year report by AVIC Aero-engine company in compliance to Shanghai & Shenzhen Stock Exchange. Financial data aside, the key points that interested us is:-

In other words, Deino, "fake news"? I hear in Germany you most detest the current American regime, so I don't understand why you're emulating its tactics.

Dear Inst, in all clearness. This is exactly what I have previously criticized and what you obviously still do not want or can not understand:

1. Do not mix arguments with each other that have nothing to do with - especially like here technical and academic (in the meaning on how to argue and weight credibility of sources) with such things like German politics.

2. Stay with the truth and facts: Taking any old report or as in this case a quasi re-pop of a report from 2016 report, which was simply wrong at the time, based on wrong sources and misinterpreted, does not become a reputable source, just because in 2018, or almost two years later, some of it may have become facts. Yes, in that sense it is a FAKE report and even more to turn the responsibility of proof is FAKE even more.

3. Leave these personally offensive insinuations.

This is a very clear warning to stop this nonsense and in this point you may be right, you behave like the incumbent US President: He lies, he twists the facts, he threatens and mocks proven facts or scientifically probable connections just because they do not fit his agenda.

And now stop it - this is actually a warning - otherwise there's a break of two weeks.

Regarding F-35, I read that it can maintain speeds of Mach 1.2 without afterburner only for a "150 mile sprint," and that initially afterburner must be used to reach that speed as others have mentioned already.

That's like saying a pig can fly if you throw it with a catapult. It isn't supercruise. The F-35 does not supercruise. Which is widely considered to be one of the requirements for an aircraft to be considered 5th gen.

There is information that WS-15 will conduct a flight test in j-20 near the house.

Regarding F-35, ...
years ago I read what I've now located:

"... the definitive article about the F-35's supersonic dash came out of the November 2012 edition of the AirForce Magazine, which unfortunately now requires a paid membership to view. But the quotes taken from that article is as follows:

The F-35, while not technically a "supercruising" aircraft, can maintain Mach 1.2 for a dash of 150 miles without using fuel-gulping afterburners. (AFM November 2012)

Notice how the AFM article actually talks about characteristics of the F-35's supersonic dash. Notice how it doesn't call it supercruise. Notice how it talks about a speed penalty and the time limit. Notice how it says no AB to sustain supersonic speeds."

it's likely off topic here so I don't even link it (use google if you want), out and over
