We don't even know the weight of the aircraft.

One could argue that the F-22 is a proven aircraft within the US Air Force so most of the little problems a new aircraft has are fixed. But all the arguments against China boils down do "because America is better" and "it's impossible for China to do anything on their own or even be better than the USA".

Bltizo, can you do the majority a favor, message Webby and accept a Moderator role?
I get the feeling you would apply some logic to the positon, give fair warnings and bring some balance to this board.

Also has there been any follow up news about the supposed Red Arrow exercises involving J-20? Would love a confirmation this happened and more details about ROE akin to some of what we get out of Red Flag events (I know transparency can be at issue here but never hurts to ask!).

I was offered a mod position a few years back but I declined for the sake of impartiality.

At present, I won't explicitly request to be a mod unless it is offered to me by other mods/admins or unless there is a big public request for me to do so. For the sake of etiquette.

No additional information apart from the rumour a few pages back about J-20 supposedly defeating J-10s, Flankers 10:0. Obviously we don't know the RoEs, or even how long that particular involvement of J-20s was, etc... so we don't have much information at all.

I remember J-20 emerged after the T-50 but now it has developed faster T-50. Great!

I remember when China openly showed their J-20 testbed in 2006.

The J-20 is the result of a decades long engineering project.

The J-20 was first mentioned in 2009 officially and unveiled in 2011 just a few weeks prior to its maiden flight.
