If those are true, how can we guess the J20B's specs (powered by WS15) based on them?

With the additional photos showing these specs have indeed been associated with a seemingly official looking AVIC model, does that mean the specs are thus official in any sort of capacity? More importantly, are the specs referring to a land based J-20 or a notional depicted navalized J-20?

I build a lot of models and would like to see what all this company is offering. I buy over the internet from Trumpeter and other Chinese and Japanese companies quite often.
Usually I can get the Chinese (or Japanese) versions of models I am seeking much sooner and cheaper over the internet from them and would be very willing to buy a 1/72 scale official looking J-20 if they are marketing them.

This has been proven as a hoax, the picture is just a fan-art found in many Chinese military-themed BBS/forum, and the author of this picture is suprised about this as well.
This is rather embarassing for the lazy CAIC PR staff to use random picture from internet for their J-20, I bet even the J-20 model is not reliable, and it is likely ordered directly from taobao.com.
Or it simply a way to display a J-20 model to the public without showing real classified information about this?
But anyway, it is really lazy and unprofessional.

I don't know about the photo attached, but the avic models are usually only given out to employees or dignitaries and not sold. I got one from an uncle of a j10a model years ago and that's what I was told. The model I got are almost all metallic build, not plastic.
You can buy non official models from the internet but non of them have any official info, all are based on photos.
When I got my j10a model it was just a few months after it was declassified, so I can take the model. They already had j10b models ready but that is not allowed to be given out yet. So maybe this j20 model is real, just its not for public use and is in a 611 building or a air force building somewhere.

Definitely unprofessional. Some Chinese media/institutes/companies are pretty casual about lifting pictures/videos liberally from other sources. We're reminded the incidents such as CCTV uses footage from "Top Gun" in their reports on PLAAF, and one of the research institutes uses what looks like F-16 in their promotion of the R&D of EMALS and EM rail guns.

Lazy or not, the program still exist and progressing fast. That's what matters most. It's not China's job to satisfy fan bois and curious onlookers curiosity. Like I said many times: IT'S ALL ABOUT THE PROGRAM. Haters, naysayers, doubters, and doom sayers can nick pick all kinds of issues but they can't down play China's programs that's for sure.
It's kind of one of the novelties of PLA watching, it means one has to always be vigilant about whether PR is legitimate or not.
This isn't to say a company or the PLA or state media are trying to deceive anyone, but like you said it's out of laziness, because after all it's "only" PR and "only" marketing.

I don't think anyone is disputing that about the stock J-20, for lack of a better term. The naysaying is reasonable regarding the recent discussion and hubbub over the display diagram of a navalized J-20 whose existence is still not well supported by information in the public domain.
