Thank you. Just a technical remark. In the table at the end of the AW&ST article there is an item "min. thrust (lb.)", and rather incredible values. I suppose they mean thrust without afterburner or reheat, what was earlier called dry thrust, a term hailing from the time a mixure of water and methanol was injected in the compressor of turbine engines to increase thrust or power and indeed also in the supercharger(s) of piston engines.

These are in pounds of force , multiplied by two, and that min.thrust should be mil.thrust (military thrust , maximum thrust without afterburner) . For baseline Al-31F it is 16 700 lbf , multiplied by two it is 33 400 lbf .

During my study I followed a series of lectures in English, to get used to learning in that language, and it was about gas turbines and in the units of the Roman Empire. So I learned about feet, inches, lbf, slugs, the acceleration of gravity is 32.2 ft/sec squared, &. I later read an American book that used modern units and saw how much easier that made the matter.

Regarding the latest rumors that I read: they are ranging from minor design changes to a missing pitot (some again assume different engines), but since I get them only via BING-translator (at best :(), can anyone PLEASE summarize what we know so far ??

Wait till clearer photos. At this stage nothing is confirmed apart from the fact that it exists imo.

Must say this is a massive year for the J-20 programme we have seen 3 prototypes take off this year

2011 in March 2014
2012 in July 2014
And 2013 in Nov 2014

In addition to the two units 2001 and 2004 (re numbered from 2002) we have 5 x J-20 variants confirmed

This programme is moving fast and really well

If 2011 and 2012 are at Yanliang, the one in the hangar might be 2014 as some rumors suggested months ago would show up along with 2013.
