Hey, my goal is to get 611 and 601 to leak more stuff, OK? But really and seriously, I do hope, just like everybody here, that they will start to release news on such development on a regular basis and from official channels. We, the Chinese people, deserve to enjoy whatever progress we're making! And what's there to hide anyway? We know war is not going to happen anytime soon or maybe never. These are just toys to brag with...

All right, I admit I'm sick. I'm sick in that I just can't help going to BR from time to time. Do I go there to get pissed, or to feel good, or just to get a kick out of their misery? I need to see a doctor... :p

I think you need help and this thread is not the right place for it.

This might be off-topic but I still can't quite figure out why America is so stubborn about using the imperial system of measurements:confused:

We're too old to change JR. My analog MK I brain doesn't have any need to adopt a completely new system of measures at 58 years old, and if you live long enough, your's won't either. Having two measuring systems is rather ignorant, it makes life much more difficult....its not stubborn, inches and feet are a very practical and understandable system in our agrarian society, and we are basically simple farm people!

They think they are the God.

We know there is A GOD, and he gave each of us two feet, but no meters.......... whats a meter anyway???

"Gee, my meters are really aching?" so ya see???

by the way, this is the J-20 thread and thanks Mace for posting that beautiful picture, and I am still as attached to those drogue chutes as I was at 7 years old, if you've ever been close enough to hear them "SNAP" open, it does tell you you're home, I can only imagine how it feels to sit in the cockpit and pop those babies, kool pic and I hope it makes Player feel a little better, it does me???

Not sure if this is new. I don't have it my library.

Nice but indeed I'm not sure if an older image. Even if I don't know the current situation at Chengdu, the weather & light looks exactly the same or at least very similar as on the images taken on 22. February (see below) !
Does anyone has reports that 2011 has returned to CAC ??

(On the other side the weather right now here in Mainz/Germany looks also the same as to the weather in February this year)

I was also unsure since the original poster started the tread with a "happy birthday to me" text.

I studied at a time when we needed to understand the Roman Imperial system because the Brits and the Yanks, which made the engines, used them. So I was taught those things in the lectures about gas turbines given by an English professor. I later read an American book on the subject in normal units and it proved to be much easier to understand. Nothing about having to get the acceleration of gravity being 32.2 ft/sec with pressures being given in pounds per square inch and having formula's in which you have to take along a factor of 144 or some other strange factor.
The US automotive industry changed over long ago and when there was confusion in a Mars probe with a descend engine with a thrust that one party took to be in Newton and another in pound force, resulting in the probe being lost, NASA changed over too.

Because in NFL Football it would sound weird to hear 1st down and 9.144 METERS to go, instead of 1st down and 10 YARDS to go.:p;)

Also in my architectural drafting field of work I'm so used to using feet and inches.
