being too pessimistic is not good. btw, what you have done to your beloved country to achieve your dreams???, of course apart from being pessimistic

I want to see it so badly that I'm afraid of getting disappointed. So I chose to lower my short term expectations.

I'm still studying and will enter University only next year. At this point in time I have to say that there's not much that I can do, frankly speaking I still have to reply on my parents for living.

But whatever I can do, I will do it. Each and every person is an ambassador of his own country, in a sense. Both in real life and online, I try my best to maintain the best behaviour and conduct. So that when people see me or interact with me, they wouldn't just simply think 'oh yeah, it's just another rude and uncivilised Chinese'.

I may be young but everything starts small, and start from yourself as a person. If each and every Chinese were to have the best behaviour when they're in a foreign land, respect the local rules and culture; if each Chinese were to have integrity and honesty in heart when they go to work; If each and every Chinese have these in mind, China would be very different. The Chinese people would have a very different reputation, as tourists and as visitors. 'Made in China' would also have a very different image.

Hope that answers the question.

Com'on guys! Some people are optimistic and other are pessimistic. It is human nature. It does not make a person better or worse one way or another. It's kind of insulting that multiple forum members attack one person simply because he/she has certain kind of personality. And No one can change personality. It's genetic. So let's allow people to be who they are, be it optimistic or pessimistic.

A very fine attitude young man, and you are in the right place here on Sino Defense, if the world were full of such men, we would have peace and prosperity, your candor is also refreshing, one of the wonderful traditional traits of Chinese people is respect for others, one thing that continues to fascinate me about the Sino Defense forum. Like made in Japan, made in China is becoming a world standard, just as made in the USA, and as you have correctly stated we are each ambassadors, keep up the good work, you will make your parents proud. bax

Yes, school is so much more fun when you are the teacher, I have really enjoyed being a substitute teacher these last three years, I still think Chengdu should be inviting you in for a Western intro for our girl, I am anxiously waiting some air to air work. Reminds me of the time I took a local reporter up for an air to air, subject aircraft was on my left, so I had the reporter flying??? while I burned some Kodachrome, she said, "I, can't do this", I said no, your fine, seconds later, "I Can't Do This", no you're fine, I am burning Kodachrome, then "I CAN'T DO THIS!!!!!", I handed her the camera and asked the subject aircraft to reposition on the right, the panic subsides once she was back to the reporter role, but she taught me a real lesson there. Of course the USAF kid flying the Cessna 170B has NO Trouble maintaining formation, probably the best air to air work I ever did, and she did a nice job on the pictures as well. I should try to find those pictures, as I recall some great images of the break, as he "peels off".

I agree with you but I will not used such a strong word as "attack". But to think of it , I think some of the pessimism promote by some individual is too artificial. Like until the extend that some will think having pride of a Chinese troops serving in their PLA military is a bad thing or a sin.

While some overly done optimistic of China military promoted by some individual that she has already surpassed US in most of the military field , tries to put all China military supporter as bragger or arrogant.
