So, what are we looking for in that picture showing a J-20 from the front right, is it a recent picture, is it 2001 at Chengdu having been modified (new radome? new paint?), is it the new 2011, or is it that 2001 and 2002 are actually at Yanliang and that was just another PS or just a regular older image of 2001? Thanks.

2001, judging by the nose probe.

What kind of a Chinese New Year doesn't involve dragons, especially Mighty ones .. :p

On the first day of New Year,
The People's Air Force sent to me:
The Mighty Dragon spread its wings.

On the second day of New Year,
The People's Air Force sent to me:
2 WS-15s
and the Mighty Dragon spread its wings.

On the third day of New Year,
The People's Air Force sent to me:
3 LD-10s
2 WS-15s
and the Mighty Dragon spread its wings.

On the fourth day of New Year,
The People's Air Force sent to me:
4 PL-12s
3 LD-10s
2 WS-15s
and the Mighty Dragon spread its wings.

......
.....
....
...
..
.

Rumours are today the 2011 had its first high-speed taxiing.

There's a lot of description but I'll just save my efforts first and let the rumours fly for a while.

I believe we're not far away from clearer pictures. So let's just have patience. Though I got to say this waiting thing is killing me as well.

that image suggests the ventral fins have NOT been moved forward, compared to previous airframes. clipped tails do seem plausible from what one can gather.

overall, external changes compared to earlier airframes seem to be minimal.

In fact the person who posted this said the fins are moved backwards and now almost completely cover the nozzles. Nozzles are shorter and with zig-zags now (something like F35 style). the most noticeable external change seems to be a new paint that's silverish-white and quite reflective.

Hmmm ... IMO there are nearly no changes visible at all. Neither the tails are clipped nor the fins were moved for. As such we surely need to wait for better images but so far I'm a bit disappointed. :(

The DSI intakes now have slightly different shapes than before. More towards the F35 shape. Also, cockpit cover is also now F35 style with the inner ring and those lines which I don't know what's the use.

The paint is really different also. Silverish white colour now.

Forgot to mention this, there's a yellow colour thing below the radar...I don't know what it is but maybe someone knows?
