Speaking of which, we might get the WS-10H (upgraded to ver. 2) after all, potentially to WS-10D/B-3 standard (I hope they use the same nozzles):

This might explain the quite generous amount of time it's taking, due to multiple redesigns to bring it up to current WS-10 standards.
J-15T is going to have most efficient WS-10 variant.. already mog J-16 in electronics and avionics.

It's finally fvcking time...

Also, assuming the worst-case scenario (Namely, the navalized variant of WS-15 is not ready for service onboard the probable carrier-based variant of the J-XDS (i.e. J-XDSH) before the ACE/VCE-based WS-XX becomes ready by then) - At least the PLAN will have the WS-10H as the backup option of last-resort.

Well, unlike the WS-10, naval considerations should be part of the WS-15 program from the get-go. So hopefully we won't see any interim engine bullcrap this time.

The designation is apparently "WS-10H2"? Quite weird with a numeral suffix after the H.

Simply stunning renders from the well-known 家有神兽 of how a J-15T would look with the WS-10D/B-3 nozzles:

I envision this is how the WS-10H2 would look.

(This perhaps should be posted in a CG thread, but I may be blind cause for the love of me I cannot find a PLAN CG thread, and the search function is unfortunately abysmal)
