Another recent mystery ... @huitong updated his page with an image of a "new" J-15T no. 15 & note "Renumbered J-15T 04/1515 prototype"

J-15T_15 new.jpg

The problem however is, there was already an "old" J-15T no. 15 aka H1104215. And even though both J-15Ts actually bear the same H-number, the "old 15" was cn. 03062 - aka a Batch 03 J-15T - while the "new 15" could looks to be the fourth J-15T prototype.

Anyway, still this leaves the question, why? Was the old no. 15 indeed renumbered ( and what is it now?) or did it maybe crash and was replaced by Pt. 04 as the new 15?

Could it be used for naval aviation training school since there are a lot of trainer planes on the background?

It seems the most likely explanation, however is it possible both bort 15s could belong to different carriers/carrier units? At least in the russian system you can have a lot of aircraft with the same bort number, a practice that plays tricks well with enemy intelligence gathering.

Two under nacelles, look right next to the shoulder of the deck guy.

I see only one missile there (in red).

If you're talking about the thing (in yellow), that just looks like the weapons pylon which the missile (in red) is attached to??
