J-15 carrier fighter thread

This "most reliable" source is surely the same idiot who claimed, the PLAN would sell - or better simply give it for free - the 'Liaoning' since Pakistan can get whatever it wants!

Ok ... @Scorpio, either You give a quote. mention or source or shut up. Again, we are not a fan-boy forum where everyone can claim any BS he has found in the www somewhere.

Either prove it or give at least an option to discuss in a fine manner, why and why not, but this is pure BS.

Take this as a warning.
I was using decent language will be decent in future, you can look at your own language you are using here.
Ok, As per instructions i will not discuss it further.

Pardon if I sounded a bit rude, but I must admit since a few weeks we have a flow of new members (what itself is fine) which most often post - let's say it mildly - in a fan-boy style of "I know", "I read", "a very reliable source says" ... but rarely an explanation nor a source is given.
As such claims like "a landbased J-15 variant will be exported, let's wait I see" or "the Type 003 carrier will be launched in October 2020, I know it" are not wanted as long as not proof is given or a source. This might be annoying for newcomers, but IMO it is a necessary habit, which makes us different to pure fan-boy forums.

Is there any plans to replace the J15? from what I heard it doesn't seem to be a very good carrier fighter jet. Maybe J31?

Where did you get the idea J 15 is not a good fighter ? It is not the most modern fighter but It has long range can carry decent load and equipped with the latest radar and avionic It was derived from Su 33 but heavily modified and use modern electronic

For the newbee like China it is a good fighter

I read somewhere that it is underpowered and carries smaller load than F35, not sure whether that is true

Do you mind to share the source of this claim, please?

The reason for it not being able to carry full load isn't simply because it's underpowered. We know F35B can't be launched fully loaded with a ski-jump or not. And I personally don't think F35C can be launched fully loaded without catapult, either. So, would you say F35B/C are all underpowered? The issue is how they are launched.

Can anyone help me out with this post?! Via LKJ86/PDF and allegedly related to an improved J15B, with new radar will enter service soon.

But how credible is it?

1. She has taken the war robe --- It is ready for battle/ entering serial production soon.
2. Aluminum Kid --- New aluminium alloy material used?
3. No hair on the mouth --- less connected to Russia/Ex-Soviet design? (Hair or 毛 always refer to Russia, Ukraine or Ex-Soviet.
4. Look further and clearer --- Better radar and longer range, may be other sensors as well.
5. Divine arrow --- New advance missiles,
6. More stronger --- New power plant with bigger thrust.

Looks like PLAN is sticking with J-15. I doubt all this effort will be limited to two carrier wings and some reserves. I think 003 will almost certainly be carrying a mix of J-15B/D and J-35 for its fighter wing. From reading the hints, it sounds like the new J-15 is akin to an upgraded Tomcat in concept with focus on long range and good payload. 003 hopefully allows the J-15 to really stretch its legs and weight. Like Liaoning, the first batches of J-15 we saw so many years ago are closer to carrier training platforms to progressively improve. With the J-15B/D, PLAN will basically have a navalised, carrier capable J-16 level fighter. Combine that with J-35 and assorted stealth drones already flying, the only obvious and considerable factors holding PLAN's carriers back would be nuclear powerplant and numbers.
