The J-15T might or might not enter production. Some are saying that it's only a tech demonstrator.

Well, whatever it might be called...I am sure if they are going to build CATOBAR carriers...and they are...that they will put the J-15 with the arresting hook, and the catapult launch undercarriage (landing gear) into production.

There's also the possibility that they might go straight into 5th gen platforms if it feels that its regional rivals are too much of a threat. The J-15T might've been simply a testbed for the landing gear and as a test aircraft for the electromagnetic catapult itself.

Well, thta may be possible...but I highly doubt that they will have a navalized 5th gen fighter rweady int time...unless they re-work the J-20, which I do not see happening, or take the other aircraft which they have certainly showed no real interest in to date.

I believe a CATOBAR J-15 is still in the works...but time will tell.
