Well Popeye it is still too early to get full load of operational J 15 in picture But It was observed to carry 2 X YJ 83 + 2 X PL 8
Assuming the weight of YJ 83=350kg; PL 8= 125kg the total weight is 950 kg or roughly 1 Ton
My guess 2 ton is the maximum load that is plenty of bomb already

He do 715 kg according Huitong which is not infallible i see also about 1 t sure don't exist missiles as it which have a weight of only 350 kg

Ok I got it from website apparently wrong number Here is another weight number
So then it is even better proven to be able to carry 2 ton with photo of dummy missiles
2X 750 +2 X150=1800 Kg

Chinese YJ-83 Anti-ship Missile

YJ-83 ("Eagle Strike - 83") anti-ship missile mounted on a truck for the purpose of attending the Military Parade held in Beijing on 1st October, 2009 to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Chinese National Day.

This type of missile may be launched from the air, the surface of the sea or under it, or from the land and is currently used by most of the surface units of the PAL Navy.

YJ-83 retains the original gas-propelled arrangement of YJ-8 but its length has been increased. Its dimensions are: length 6.86 metres, wingspan 1.18 metres, diameter of projectile 0.36 metres, with a combat weight of 850 kilograms。The tip of YJ-83 is more pointed than its predecessor. Further, in front of its foldable wings, there is an antenna for data link reception, allowing the missile to be guided by ships or helicopters. This is a major distinguishing feature between YJ-83 and YJ-8 (and YJ-8A).

Before there was the J-15 China experimented with arrested landing with J-8IIG planes. This happened in april 1987. Its also said that China tested and evaluated and eventually reverse engineer the steam catapults of the HMAS Melbourne.

I believe that's just a picture showing the horizontal stabilizer wing at a particular angle instead of arrester hook, if that is what you meant to show.o_O
