The aircraft along the island have to be pushed into position with a tractor, and while pushing the runway is blocked. The aircraft along the island do not belong to the arriving part of the air wing. And they can not taxi into take off position while landings are in progress.Though in high tempo operations., where they wanted to launch and recover simultaneously, they would spot the additional aircraft along by the island.
They could spot the take off birds along the island in the appropriate position, and then move the landing aircraft further back after landing. It would cause them to have enough delay in the landing pattern, but it would allow them to do both simultaneously. The aircraft along the island have to be pushed into position with a tractor, and while pushing the runway is blocked.
