Following my latest information this unit is indeed some sort of a regiment, even if I still do not fully understand to what higher-level unit (Division ??) it is subordinated.
Anyway the letters "JZZDT" (???) could mean something like "jiàn zài zhàn dòujī tuán" = 舰载战斗机团 or - and now I need Your help - like "Carrier-borne fighter" ?!!

Beautiful photo! And you can see how the bow is used during the recovery phase for parking just landed aircraft.
Though in high tempo operations., where they wanted to launch and recover simultaneously, they would spot the additional aircraft along by the island.

The most I have seen on deck to date, is still eight. In these pics:
But I still believe they either already have, or will operate/exercise with more.
One day we will see an actual PLAN Photo Op showing 16 on deck and four in the air like this CGI shows:

The aircraft along the island have to be pushed into position with a tractor, and while pushing the runway is blocked. The aircraft along the island do not belong to the arriving part of the air wing. And they can not taxi into take off position while landings are in progress.
They could spot the take off birds along the island in the appropriate position, and then move the landing aircraft further back after landing. It would cause them to have enough delay in the landing pattern, but it would allow them to do both simultaneously.
