Any fighter can only maintain top speed for a few minutes before running out of fuel. Sure, maybe higher top speed can grant you a marginal advantage in avoiding a missile, but what's the point if you just end up ditching the plane due to running out of fuel anyways?

In case there is any confusion for whatever strange reason since this should be well understood by readers. Higher launch vehicle (J-x) speed = higher missile initial velocity = greater missile kinetic energy = more range and allows the missile to lose more energy from making turns since it has started with higher energy.

Similar thing can be said with launch altitude just replace with potential energy that can become kinetic energy. Even launch angle can change things but that depends on how the missile programs its flight path according to how it utilises interception point calculations.

While comparing J-10 C with Rafale,
I did search to see ,in what conditions they perform best. I found that J-10 have different models and J-10 C is best to fight in the plain field as well as over mountains like Ladakh, Kashmir and all weather.
Where as Rafale have performed better in the plain field (France, Qatar, Egypt, south Indian areas) and could not perform well over mountains of Middle Eastern countries.
What is your opinion ?
