Never forget that most important things that will seal the deal for Egypt is 1) the joint drills with china in 2025, which they saw the KJ-500 & J-10C together at work 2) J-10C downing rafale fighters in Pak-India clashes/war, which will affect & reduce any effect in any westoids in the army.
Seeing how the J-10C operates, its cockpit, munitions - most likely china's team took some with them - and comparing it to their F-16s will be a huge win for J-10C. And even more comparing KJ-500 with their E2-D AEW&C aircraft and we know the aircraft flaw close to Israel which can be used to elaborate & show its capabilities for Egyptians in their own operation environment.
Also, keep in mind that their 200+ fleet of F-16s, means they've a very big portion of their pilots that flew old fighters that offer them no capabilities in any war and will be slaughtered, therefore they'll pressure to get better fighters for themselves, which can move the needle even more. Yes fighter pilots are a small group in the military as a whole but they're very respected & valued, especially for historic events & lessons -- nevertheless Egypt have a historic shortages in fighter pilots.
The only hurdle in the deal is Egypt's general economics & their ability to finance the deal while keeping their economy in a good shape despite US's actions, if they can do it or do it with some losses, they'll surely do it. Nevertheless, it'll be in secret and can take some time even if they can't afford to wait.
