P.S.ed is right. I highly doubt that any J-10B/C participated in the Golden Helmet competition already to earn the marking.

Putting the "A" model instead of the "C" (that said, I wonder if the "B" was a purely development model and the "C" is the definitive) model for export is a strange choice no doubt, alas if it was the client's choice then who are we in the position to complain about that?J-10 export version at Singapore Airshow 2016:

Anyway, we've been hearing this for more that a decade, only now then we finally get something as close as to a solid "yes" in this exhibition, so what gives? Buying J-10A now is like buying the earlier-bloc models of F-16A, when you got F-16E/F model to choose from, and Pakistan can always use the FMS and aid card to get those at a discount.
