But still no confirmation what variant!?

Based on a good contact I usually trust, Indonesia will get factory-fresh J-10CE and not refurbished former PLAAf aircraft and concerning the still unknown African customer, he mentioned Tanzania would get them too.

Any more info on this?

Same thing Yankeesama said. Are you sure your contact didn’t just listen to the podcast?

Hi,
with the time line of providing J10c to these countries probably these countries
might be getting L15 trainers before the actual J10c arrived in their country at the
moment Tanzanian airforce is operating F7s or Mashak planes as a trainers, so chances
are high for having them L15 for their training.
thank you

So rumoured/likely sales:

Uzbekistan
Indonesia
Bangladesh
Pakistan batch 2

Rumoured but less likely

Tanzania (why would they even want it?)
Egypt (US will block)
Algeria (went Russian)
Iran (ditto)

Anyone else? MiG-29 users looking to replace?
Algeria ordered 12pcs su-57 and 14pcs su-34

Iran ordered 48pcs su-35

Su-57 is fifth generation and Su-34 is a fighter-bomber, they're not comparable or counter part for J-10C.

Algeria usually prefer twin-engine fighters so that they can cover all of its territory, but maybe they're interested in buying some J-10Cs, say 48, so that they put them specifically in the northern front for A2A operations against French fighters if needed.

Algeria have a way bigger budget and can afford the deal beside what they're already doing, and without caring about the consequences from US & the west --

Nigeria has more than double the GDP of Tanzania and still only managed to buy three block 2 JF-17s. I highly double Tanzania has the budget to acquire J-10s unless they decide to opt for second-hand airframes.

They wanted to pay by mineral rights.

Yeah Algeria has a history of reliance on Russia. So I believe they are more familiar with Russian systems than anything else. So they will like stick with Russian fighters in foreseeable future. Egypt could be a good market for China(only issue might be US objections.

It'll be better for Algeria to diversify some of their air force fleet, as the russians can't keep up with the recent development and will need some time to fix their issues -- if they could solve it. So China's air platforms & systems can provide more technology, capability and more insurance for Algeria, especially A2A capabilities with J-10C & KJ-500, let alone China's advances in enablers especially AEW&C unlike old russian aircraft. And concentrating a single engine fighter like J-10C in the northern frontier will be ideal for their case, and they have other russian aircrafts to deal with threats from other weaker opponents in other frontiers.

So I think Algeria is more than happy to have another options which can offer them advanced platforms & systems.

Egypt's problem is to secure the economical power to make a meaningful transition to improve their airforce, while their general economy to be in solid state to hold against US sanctions -- even with Egypt effort to guard itself, what they're doing is not enough.

Nevertheless, they're still working to fix their air force, it'll take time and will be in secret until big progression happen, and I don't rule out that they make a small buy even if they can check all the boxes because of the severity of their security right now.

And to be more precise in wording, Egypt doesn't care about US "objections" to the deal, but US retaliation & pressure, they can handle US talking and attacking them in the media, doing something in the UN...etc, but US sanctions with EU complicity can damage them very badly.
