rafale of course has link16 for nato compatibility. ive seen remarks (unsourced sorry!) though that link16 was the only form of network integration the iaf had, that rafale otherwise doesnt datalink to the rest of their systems, ex. awacs. horror emoji.

Rafale is very capable fighter air craft.during the mid 90s france allowed plaaf test pilot to flew both mirage 2000 and rafale.according to the pilot he has high praise for rafale aircraft maneuverability and her user friendly man machine interface
But no matter how good was the jet, everything come down to the pilots and tactic.

Are we likely to see a J-10D variant be made? If Pakistan is going to operate at least 100+ fighters and other countries also buy them, to keep it competitive, is it likely China gives it an upgrade?

Maybe something like wingtip hardpoints and greater payload capacity.

IMO unlikely and even more, what makes you believe that Pakistan "is going to operate at least 100+ fighters" (I assume you suggest J-10?)?? The ordered 20 and contrary to many claims, only these 20 were delivered yet.

Sorry, yes I specifically meant the J-10C only. Also my assumption is over the long-term given PAF's history, it usually invests in at least around 80+ number of that aircraft. I'm aware that as of now that many have not been ordered.

If someone wants to shell out money for the customization I don’t see why not. No chance PLAAF will invest in it though.
