J-10 Thread IV

Ok interesting and I like the match in numbers from batch to regiments

That's 11 regiments in almost 11 years or roughly a regiment per year

I reckon they are doing 30-35 x J10 aircraft a year production rate sustained over a decade now that is really good going

They have done the same for Flanker units

So we have had two regiments production a year for a decade for two aircraft types

Now let's say they keep open the J10B/C rate the same we could see by 2020 5-6 regiments of J10B/C

In total the finally tally of J10A/B/C will be over 500 units

But i still think they will be out done by the Flanker numbers

Honestly ... I rate Jane's no longer that reliable, they had some very crap reports during the last years.

Anyway, "Henry K:" reports (translated from

According to the spotters in Chengdu, at least three J-10B with the painting of the Armée de l'air and the Chinese engine WS-10B flew today around thefactory132. One of them is registered 78117. What entity owns ?

That would fit exactly my predictions of being assigned to the 170. Brigade FTTC.

So, there are plans to start production of WS-10B powered J-10B? Hopefully the testing won't take as long as that of the AL-31FN powered J-10B, which it should be if it's mainly a change of engine with maybe a few other new components.

The production has started and testing is finished. Testing was done with J-10B 1035 prototype and we're talking about full production birds joining the air force off the assembly line!

If it's correct the new J-10Bs were going to the FTTC brigade, it should be for some final testings before going full production, hopefully soon.
