A deal with Egypt could happen eventually. But I think it is still too early.

The FC-31 fighter deal is beneficial to both China and Egypt. Egypt aims to be a center for manufacturing weapons for export to Africa and the Middle East countries.

Pardon, but as it seems, you do not understand that there „IS“ no deal yet, neither for the J-10 nor - as you repeatedly claim - for the FC-31 and any such claims, Egypt would get a manufacturing plant for this type is plain ridiculous.

The one on top is not a HMDS - in fact not even a sight, but just the attachment point - for the good old Soviet helmet mounted sight as used by all Flankers:

As per Yankeesama they are pushing for J-10C export to Egypt but not super hard. If Egypt buys it then good, but if they don’t due to US pressure it is not the end of the world either. What’s important is for young pilots in Egyptian Air Force to get exposure to Chinese fighter aircraft and gauge for themselves the capabilities of avionics, radar, interface, and weapons so when the time is right, they can make the correct decision.

Apparently there are multiple countries close to signing the deal on the J-10C and as per Yankee the second international customer is somewhere completely unexpected.
