They'll probably still be around in 2040. The final batch of J-10A is only just 10 years old.

There are still many J-10A and nothing wrong with J-10A ... J-10A is likely better than all Taiwanese fighters and most Japanese/Korean fighters ... let alone other most Asian Countries

I think all the Taiwanese F-16s were upgraded. New radar and avionics. So unless the J-10A has been upgraded as well it will be inferior.
