Interesting image showing J-10S or J-10AS cn. 0238 reinigend by a WS-10B.
Would be interesting to know, how recent this image is.

The spine is different from J10S currently in service. This J10S(?) has the same straight spine as that of J10CY.

#239 photo is dated September 2014.

Indeed ... so this new - again we need to consider, if it is legit! - image of J-10AS cn. 0238 powered by a WS-10B is even more interesting than I first noticed, since it features a larger dorsal spine in comparison to the already slightly larger one on a standard J-10AS.

J-10AS cn. 0238 + WS-10B + bigger spine - CadderVoyager.jpg

My gut feeling is that this is a hint for an MLU program for all J-10A & AS - maybe to a J-10AG and/or J-10ASG or SG version - and the old ones will get the new JKL-24 AESA radar, WS-10B engines and other new "items" that require the installation of the enlarged fuselage spine.

Since #239 photo was released in 2014, I think #238's latest photo shows that they converted the old prototype airframe with new engine and new spine but retaining the same old nose (and probably the same old radar).

Hopefully they will put the same radar as in J10C in new production J10(?)S.

I just added above, even as much as I would love to see a J-10CS, my gut feeling is that this is a hint for an MLU program for all J-10A & AS - maybe to a J-10AG and/or J-10ASG or SG version - and the old ones will get the new JKL-24 AESA radar, WS-10B engines and other new "items" that require the installation of the enlarged fuselage spine.

How likely do y'all think it would be for a J-10 to make it into something like DCS, I'm talking J-10A, B, CE. Probably very unlikely but still want others thoughts who know more.
It might come soon now that it has been exported and more info is available.

There is already a community mod for the J-10A for DCS.

Am thinking that it would be much better if the J-10 (or any other currently active Chinese fighters) be kept out of War Thunder.

Imagine if a random J-10 pilot got grumpy about how "unrealistic" the in-game J-10 is, and decides to leak classified stats of the J-10 to win an online argument.

WT truly is a legit security threat. /s

I think you somewhat overestimate the quality and sensitivity of the materials that have actually been uploaded on various forums due to these videogames. They generally aren't stuff that is very important and in most cases have already been in the public domain in other ways.
