It seems to confirm the rumor of AVIC Gui Zhou begin to produce J-10 due to the increased demand of production capacity.

I don’t see how this is direct confirmation. By all accounts the aircraft in question was photographed at CAC.
Regardless who is making what variant of J-10 for whom, the demand from Pakistan is an extra capacity that CAC doesn't have before the signing of the contract. So GAC steps in to share the work load. Most likely CAC will be producing for PAF since it is a new tailor made variant.

It is not a direct confirmation, it only seems.

That would suggest PL15E rather than full-up PL15 which requires mid course data link, which is what the missing antenna does on PLAAF J10Cs I think.

I don't think we have any idea what the datalinks on PLAAF J-10Cs are for.

I've always doubted if they were only for datalinking with PL-15s, given PL-15 should be able to use standard datalinks and should be missile dependent.
And PL-15E would be operating at a range which would require advanced datalinking capability anyway, not too far from what standard PL-15 has.

I've rather speculated if the J-10Cs extra datalink was for receiving high bandwidth transmissions from friendly 5th generation fighters.

Given PAF won't have any 5th gen fighters for a while, it is natural that they would lack this capability.

Hi my humble opinion about less in range PL15 or PL15 export doesn’t make sense of getting J10c by PAF
as that less range PL15 can work with hopefully with JF17 so what’s the point of getting J10c if it not coming
up to the mark what PLAAF is using in their inventory
we all should keep in mind one thing this is the first export order for J10c & offcourse China don’t want rest of the world to show weakness of the particular fighter against on the adversary of Pakistan with Rafale in their hands
just a thought
thank you

Just wondering, have we seen anything similar with regard to J-16? (I know this is the J-10 thread and I do apologize, just wondering since J-16 is developed at a similar time and also used alongside 5th gen fighters)

Export of J-10C says a lot about PLAAF's own capabilities and way forward as well. at the minimum we now know the following points

1. PLAAF feels that it has enough J-10C's for any contingency, so that it can afford to divert production towards export.
2. J-10C is not the premier air-combat fighter in the PLAAF's arsenal. PLAAF likely believes that the number of 20s and 16s are abundant enough that even if J-10C's specification were to leak through export there will be little impact on its ability to defeat its potential adversaries.

Yes, but you are a bit late to the party ... just look the pages before! ;)

By the way ... according to my information, the first two for the PAF will fly to Pakistan today. Right that moment a PLAAF Bombardier business jet has arrived at Chengdu factory airport and both J-10CPs have been seen with fuel tanks installed.
