Typical response.
The sanctions on Iran are international, unless they were reversed Chinese sale of J10 to Iran wouldn’t just be counter the US. It would be blatant violation of international sanctions. It would place China on the sanctions list.
Basically there is no upside to a sale.

I want to make two points, one is rather minor and the other is the really important one. The minor one is that the UN sanctions on Iran you're referring to expire this October. The really important one - and I want you to remember it well - is that China will sell whatever it wants, whenever it wants, to whomever it wants. The US can take all its sanctions lists, laws, executive orders, etc., wrap them up in its constitution and shove it.

And those sanctions can be renewed and likely will be. Even if they weren’t how are they going to pay for it? Oil for jets when Russia and the Saudis are virtually giving it away?
