Externally from its dimensions it has exactly the same as a J-10B, it uses the same AL-31FN Series 3 engines only its avionics (AESA) are upgraded.

J-10 was designed to have 11 hard points, six under wings and five under fuselage. However, I seldom see the four under belly hard points being used except the center one.Probably A variant is considered enough by PLAAF
