It still uses a AL-31 engine. How many of these engines does China still have in stock and are there any news of new orders ? When did J-10B production start ? Was it in july of 2014 ? If so then China has build about 100 J-10B/C's in two years or about 50 a year.

And the first serial J-10B (#1,01) was spotted first in December 2013 ... so now 2 years and 9 months (= 33 months) for 102 aircraft equals about a rate of roughly 3 aircraft per month.
