Yup it is quite big.... or at least quite long

J-10 official length is 16.43m. For a medium size fighter its only smaller than the MiG-29/35 and the F/A-18C/D

F-2 : >15m ,
F/A-18C : >17m,
Rafale : >15m,
EF-Typhoon : ~16m,
MiG-29/35 : >17m,
Gripen : >14m,

and knowing the approximate length of pl-8, one can confirm that the 16.43 m j10 length is one with the pitot probe on the nose. without it, j10a clocks in little under 16 meters. Which still makes it one of the biggest planes in its class.

Agreed my friends ! .. but IMO it looks more like a scale model than a CG ... if You look at the landing gear or so ... anyway I hope to get a photo of a possible "BS" soon.

The MiG-29 actually is 17.32 with pitot tube included, without it is around 16.1 meters what makes the MiG-29 almost the same size of a J-10, but what really surprised me is the fact the F-16 is much smaller than the J-10, and the vertical tail of the F-16 is much smaller, the F-16 is 15.3 meters in length with pitot tube!

past issue of DIIC,claim the volume of J-10A is slightly smaller than F-16.according to the author, J-10A needed bigger nose if they wanted to carry AESA.and surprise, few year later - J-10B.
J-10B with redesign nose,with AESA in mind.

J-10B has a smaller nose than J-10A, so it sounds like the author doesn't know what he's talking about.
