Yeah it looks like it belongs with the set of photos that came out before. Maybe it just looks a little clearer than the others.

With the PLAAF still receiving J-10A's, it looks like it will take a while before the J-10B becomes operational.

The really important developments would be the APAR, IRST and an indigenous engine.

Let us hope that this does not take several more years.

Hmmm ... looks like the one we already know in slightly changed colours !

It is the same one. The photo´s colours were manipulated.

we dont know if it will be put in service. It could be just a tech demonstrator, specially since china already has the j-11B (fighter, attack and carrier versions) family and j-xx to develop.

The mass production of J10B is inevitable due to the immediate retirment of old J7s. I doubt PLAAF would be able to afford using twin-engined J11 to replace those hundreds of light fighters. One may argue the alternative of down-sizing the fleet, yet the plan won't go far for a country the size of china, -10% in a decade tops?

I bet J10 & J11 will go 1:1 ratio in the combine fleet of PLAAF & PLANAF, not just as the combination of high-low costs, but that of air-superiority & multiple-role.

May 24, A "New Fighter" (assume J-10) of Guangzhou MR Air Force had a emergency landing, due to the engine slowing down. The cause: the grease of the engine contained some unwanted small particles.
