In more recent news the Aeronautica Militare Italiana ( Italian Air Force ) have decided not to go ahead with the previous plan to upgrade the 4 KC767 A tanker in service to bring them to the same standards of the 2 new KC46A ( U.S. Air Force designation) it wanted to buy but the new plan is now to give the 4 KC767A in service back to Boeing and to have a discount for 6 brand new KC46A Pegasus tanker planes .
