Just like last April's attack where Iran targeted the airbase that was responsible for bombing their embassy. People in here where also excited that aircraft had to be damaged but BM suck when used in this way.

But SBIR is looking downward with earth as a guidance, compared to terminal phase guidance which is looking upwards. Earth has a background temperature ~300 K while space is 4K.

During ascent the missile nosecone gets heated but the nosecone isn't the warhead for modern weapons which have MIRVs and decoys inside the nose cone. The nose cone is discarded to deploy them.

IR also provides no ranging information, and the field of view is narrow so a fast moving object quickly leaves its field of view.

Only radar that is close enough and within the radar horizon of the target can actually track with bearing and ranging information.

Russian SOF with Hezbollah patch in Aleppo ofensive at December 2016, happended almost 8 years ago in a especific context, not relevant today. But please, avoid derail discussion with this kind of post, this is a Israel - Palestinian conflict focus thread, not a Syrian Civil Warfare one.

I wouldn't describe it as terrified, but rather cautious. Iran has an obligation the Iranian people and to its allies fighting on the BRICS front, as well as their allies in the region fighting the US. They can't look weak and sit by as their embassies are bombed and politicians and allied leaders are assassinated, but they also can't allow the US to lure them into an all out conflict where their infrastructure is bombed into the stone age, so they have to calibrate their response to meet all of these obligations to the best of their ability.

I do have doubts about the kind of response the Iran will receive, because I think the US needs Iran to fail in order to do significant damage to BRICS progress. I know China says they and the US can exist in harmony, but I 100% disagree with that as the success of BRICS automatically means the failure of the USD, and consequently, the destruction of the US as we know it. I guess we will find out soon.

Hezbollah claimed a new ambush today that killed 8 people. Israel admitted 8 dead today.

Cuz it's Israeli media and government. Are you really that naive and gullible to believe them, especially after being on this terrific forum for two years?

Israel has built a (false) image of being invincible, stronger than everyone, in order to convince it's foreign settler population that it is a safe place to live (despite sirens going on daily across the country); attacks and deaths pierce holes into this image and expose it's reality. Thus, it is ideal to censor and manipulate losses as minimal or nonexistent. This is especially useful to the armed forces which we've seen so far are reluctant to be on the front lines; you don't wanna tell them that your enemy can fuck you up easily.
