Israeli-Palestinian Conflict and other Related Conflicts in the Middle East (read the rules in the first post)

The longer Gaza is dragged out, the higher the chance of a escalated conflict between Israel and Iran. I wouldn't be surprised if Iran actually pursues an independent nuclear deterrent at this point, which will inevitable trigger Israel (and US) into a larger conflict.
USA and Israel every day telling Iran not to develop nukes... and every day giving them reasons by action to develop nukes.

And today US/UK vetoed UN resolution for Palestine.

Satellite image of the Iranian Isfahan base after the Israeli attack

Last night, CNN published a satellite image of the Iranian Air Force base in Isfahan, which was the target of the Israeli attack at dawn on Friday.

The picture shows the damage to the radar of the Russian-made S-300 air defense battery stationed at the base. Other than an accurate hit on the air defense radar, no additional damage was caused to the base.

The S-300 battery stationed in Isfahan is part of the air defense system that protects the nuclear facility in Natanz, which is tens of kilometers away from Isfahan.

According to American sources, “the Israelis hit what they intended to hit.”

So just one S-300 radar was hit and nothing else. Iran needs to have a real airforce, ground based missile defence is not a substitute.

In modern battlefield with proper AD what can a real air force do?

You saw what Iranian Hypersonic missile was able to do despite Israel and US air force trying everything.

What Iran needs is good air defense. Likely S-400 level stuff.

Mind you, its CNN and Israeli claims. These are the same people that went around saying there was a massive Hamas compound under Al-Shifa that mysteriously keeps relocating. And has been constantly lying since the start of the conflict

After all, the "limited" attack hits an air defense system that is part of the defenses of the Iranian nuclear facilities...

NYT claims that Iranian officials have confirmed this

If this is true, Iran should invest more in defense systems instead of waging proxy wars and only offensive systems... with the S-300, which has proven to be inefficient in Russia and Ukraine, they will definitely not be able to evade an attack. surprise Isareli...

I think that Iran claimed something along the lines that Israel (Mossad) used those domestic terrorists to attack from within Iran itself (send those small drones), so that's why the systems ignored it.

In essence, the attack was so unexpected and weak that those systems probably didn't appear to catch onto them for that reason, nothing else. I think that was the nature of the statement from Iranian officials.

of course, of course...

"The two Iranian officials said the weapon had struck an S-300 antiaircraft system at a military base in the nearby province of Isfahan"
