Remember not all casualties are dead soldiers, wounded soldiers would be much higher. Furthermore Israel also suffered casualties at the north in their clashes with Hezbollah.

I will take a guess and say.. The IDF suffered a total of around 3 thousand dead from the clashes in Gaza plus near Lebanon with Hezbollah. And around 11 thousand wounded from clashes at the two fronts of Gaza & Lebanon.
My guess is at 4-5k dead at least, with 3-4 times that in wounded.

Dead and wounded for Hamas should be about equal or even less.

Wouldn't Hamas have more casualty? IDF is better equipped
In theory, but at this point the IDF has shown they aren't that different from many arab armies when it comes to professionalism and discipline, which means Hamas probably had an increased home turf advantage with the tunnel network which Israel has recognized they have no idea how big it is. The IDF of the Six Day War and Yom Kippur is no more.

In any case, Israel indiscriminate bombings have made sure Hamas has plenty of people where to draw replacements from, as it has been pointed out in the media, most of Hamas fighters were orphans from previous Israeli incursions.

We are seeing the American rules based order at work in both Ukraine and Gaza. And the rule is that if you are America or one of its friends you don't have to be concerned about things like international law, war crimes or human rights.

You can invade a country under false pretences and kill a million people. You can starve an entire population or attack embassies and target foreign generals and officials for assassination. Its all fair.

But if you are one of America's opponents you just look the wrong way and it is international law, war crimes, human rights or even genocide.

Mar 29: Israeli airstrike in north Syria
...
~400km straight line from north Israel to Aleppo. Most likely, not flown straight over Lebanon, but probably over Syria or Mediterranean, adding another +100km.
Israel typically fires cruise missiles from outside Syrian airspace.

Hasn't actually yielded that much of an advantage (not to mention, if you dig down, it actually gets questionable how well equipped the IDF soldiers actually are.).

Anyways, I think I might be actually wrong in saying that Hamas might even has less casualties (might be the case for ground combat, but IAF has been bombing Gaza a lot, and taking past history, such as in 2006 against Hezbollah, even at the 1-3% Air strike effectiveness, when you do some 10000+ air strikes over 6 months, it adds up).
