Garbage article. If China was really supporting Hamas, the whole world would know about it due to skyrocketing rate of Israeli casualties and IDF basically rapidly retreating from Gaza (QLZ87 automatic grenade launchers must be quite headache-inducing for IDF though)
What happened is that Chinese weapons have flowed through Middle East and Hamas has gained access to these weapons by a few countries, with Iran obviously being the primary suspect.

New phaze I don't know but it's a scortched earth apprauch... they are obliterating anything and anyones. Hamas command in north Gaza was in their path, not even sure it was targeted or just part of the scenery.
Tangentially related, but this is footage of C-RAM intercepting an Iranian backed militia launched suicide drone in Iraq.
Could also be exiting north Gaza, but instead of admitting defeat, claiming victory.

I greatly don't buy it. This isn't the 200s BC where armies of tens of thousand gather around a HQ and battles end when the HQ get stormed... One would assume the Hamas "leadership" is incredibly dispersed and not even mostly in Palestine at all, and that each squad are independent just like in any normal army.
If a new front opens, it's likely due to the blockade causing too much damage and necessitating an attempt to break it.
