ISIS/ISIL conflict in Syria/Iraq (No OpEd, No Politics)

Last night, I think we have learned the limits of action without the danger of major escalation, in relation to how one major power can engage the none major power allies of another major power, whilst in close proximity.

Which of course is a two way street.
Which of course also means, that If I were a SDF militiaman based in Easter Deir Ezzor, I would be feeling just a little bit nervous this morning.

The information is at this point behind closed doors, you and I are not. Party to the intelligence information on the Syrian chemical weapons attacks, but we are party to knowing this is a event that has been repeated again and again and again.
You talk about Solverignty yet and yet Syrians called in the Russians and Iranians and the conflict has spread across the region, from the Golan to Iraq.

Whatever.

Russia called for a UN Security council emergency meeting. Reportedly Putin is personally insuilted by the actions of The US, UK and France.
Expect more Rhetoric and vetos as 4 Permanent members of the security councils but heads.
The Russians have a draft resolution to try and get the US, UK, and French forces out of Syria. Expect vetos.

Ah, is that why the attack took place just before the arrival of the investigating team from UN's Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons? Sounds like the West is afraid of what the team might find

A perfectly executed strike last night. Thank you to France and the United Kingdom for their wisdom and the power of their fine Military. Could not have had a better result. Mission Accomplished!

The Russian UN Ambassador laid out his argument that seems to state that the attack was a farce. And added a heavy load of insinuating that the US and it's Allies we're in charge of the whole war.
The US ambassador laid out that this was the sixth event, that to the US government it was satisfied with the intelligence it had gathered proving that the event was real and Syria was responsible.
The UK ambassador laid out more or less the same and the French agreed.
