at gazeta.ru right now: Russians will [very soon] reduce their forces in Syria, the first to leave is [what I would call] the Kuznetsov CVBG (officially it's like the aircraft carrier group of the Northern Fleet), says

while NOT to leave are AA S-300s and ASh / LA (Nov 15, 2016) Bastions, "an informed source" told Интерфакс:

Government has been under attack recently in Deir Ezzor; I tried to find details ...

very unpopular topic, I know

after info claiming ISIL in 'Assad Hospital' (it's the only hospital marked in the above map)

which would pretty much mean splitting the Government forces in Deir Ezzor ... now it seems it's not that bad but who knows (maybe just a mood of optimism returned among Internet watchers??)

let's wait and see

... splitting the Government forces in Deir Ezzor ...
... now I briefly checked Twitter (plus

) and according to what I read it would seem to me ISIL is closest between
'Cementery' (Yesterday at 12:07 PM; ISIL didn't get into it, I approximated the positions in this area by the black line in the map below) and
'al-Maqabis' (a factory? marked in the map below; ISIL-held part of the town is further into the northeastern corner) which Government lost today:

EDIT of course this is unconfirmed, but the situation is getting critical for Government in Deir Ezzor

it's been split by now; the width of the gap ... depends on the map you would look at inside

now a thought occurred to me: do main stream media, of any country, cover this?
so I checked the first page of

and within around fifty articles there, which appeared during last six hours (majority is Astana, Kazakhstan blah blah and blah), I noticed just three, from sources as varied as

Obviously 14K IS fighters advancing on Deir Ezzor has to be an exaggeration though with IS' recent territorial losses elsewhere it isn't surprising that they are able to focus a large number of their forces in this area. Either way this move should have been long expected by the Syrian government, Iran (thereby their earlier insistence on encircling IS in Mosul), and Russia, so they should be as prepared as possible.
