ISIS/ISIL conflict in Syria/Iraq (No OpEd, No Politics)

what's often presented as an elite Government unit and called Tiger Force, yesterday botched the attack against Rebels in Northern Aleppo area (which I don't follow) to the point of loosing this T-90 tank:


I intentionally picked up the video found at a Red Russian site so that we might skip a discussion if it's faked or not:

According to Amarsdar News the captured T90 suffered a total power failure during the attack and this somehow screwed up the entire assault formation (Commanders Unit?)
The tank was abandoned and spiked with Grenades, with the assault ended and the SAA returning to their opening positions.

It also transpires that the forces around Khan Touman etc in Southern Aleppo are virtually entirely made up of various Paramilitaries rather than SAA Regulars. It does rather explain a lot.
Rather suggest that the real assault troops are concentrating on ISIS in the East and that it simply a matter of trying to hold the line in the West.

The main SAA thrust is towards Tabqah at the South End of Lake Assad on the Euphrates. A successful campaign here cuts Isis in half and traps the forces in Northern Aleppo to be attacked on all fronts.
I also note that with the Tigers stationed by the Anandin plains, it is not much to move the towards Dayr Hafir to seal all territory west of the Euphrates once and for all.

They went down the Rhine. The Netherlands are at the mouths of the river.
And quite clearly all fighting, here, around Manbij, around Aleppo, in the South and also near Damascus is about logistics, protecting your own, cutting that of your opponents. Killing opponents is secondary.

LOL! last year I made this type of mistake, which is so obvious, in Prague: we were sitting with my visitors in the pub overlooking the Moldau River, and of them was drinking the beer which is brewed in Prague, so he asked me where that brewery is; since it's by the river, I pointed in its direction, saying "Down the river" while I should've said "Up the river" (at this point the visitors were distraught by something though, probably the next beer coming so they didn't notice)
for me these are very funny mistakes I made, as I've been interested in geography since I was four years old
