these recent announcements ... as inAccording to the BBC website () there has been weeks of infighting among the rebels near Damascus. The recently announced offensives near Aleppo and Deir-Ezzor might have been meant to assure those rebels they could safely do so. BBC says when the offensive came the area was taken in hours.

are laughable in the current situation: I've read in Russian Internet (I could put links here if you wanted) Hezbollah will soon be leaving Aleppo area, concentrate on defending Damascus and the area down to Lebanon border, in the wake of loosing EDIT or, delft, is this maybe one of those "cunning" announcements you seem to like to follow and interpret?... Mr. Assad's army and Russian Air Force "planning offensives against the cities of Deir al-Zor and Raqqa" says
Alexei Borodavkin, Russia's ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva
in Twitter I also noticed allegedly Western-Propaganda-leaflet

"It's the time you've long been waiting for, it's time to leave the city" which I find ... premature
