I posted those pics in context to plawolf's post that I was replying to originally... and that is also exactly why I added text to accompany those posts instead of just postings those pictures w/o any reference of any kind however if it offends you I will take those pictures off. Personally I do not find them offensive especially when see them in context pertaining to ISIS.

I think it would be for the best. It may seem over sensitive, but it open to negative interpretation and could be deemed unnecessarily offensive for some members.
It is a thread that deals with delicate matters and must be handled in the appropriately delicate manner.
Thanks

As an aside the quote “Kill’em all, and let God sort’em out” is unofficially adopted by the US Marines and a few other groups like Green Berets and also by Navy SEALs .

No worries. Taken care of for you.
Cute picture btw - even if Teddy looks a little unsure.

back to 'normal news'.
150 ISIS thugs take control of Ramadi

This has happened a few other times before where ISIS, vastly outnumbered were able to take on a much much larger force of Iraqi army armed with the latest US weaponry!
in this case 150 vs 6000. even if exaggerated the gist is still the same.

Very dissapointing to hear. Ramadi is crucial not just from a strategic standpoint but also has a lot of psycological and emotional connotation.

Unfortunately, for some, it is now becoming obvious, to that same some, that the sect not preferred, by that same some, is probably the one that is best suited, both organizationally and ideologically, to confront the terror that is ISIS/ISIL. They were successful in Erbil.

Those Shia militias are useful to fight the Islamic State (IS) in the short run. But in the long run those Shia militias are big trouble. If you have growing numbers of organized armed men who are not under the control of the government that will simply lead to more violence in the future and even the disintegration of the country.

This IIRC originally comes from the crusade against the Albigensians. It suggests those who use it for themselves are barbarians. They'd do best to drop it.

US and Iran are now unofficially cooperating against IS in Iraq. Ambassador Bhadrakumar suggests in Asia Times on line that a closer cooperation is necessary:

.
Does it really make sense for US to continue their campaign against Syria while Iran supports the country?
