Oh but wait.
Here is the thing about black market Products. If that is the only way to get a product the you have a Black market. See Prohibition.

If it costs more to get the product legally then illegally you have a black market. In my area this is visible as they have a dispensary but the cost of it’s product is three times street value.

But if the cost of the product is kept low legally and Supply is plentiful then the Black market flounders. Why would you pay more to smuggle a product you can get for less?
The easiest way is to keep Oil production elsewhere up so Oil prices stay down and do a small amount of policing. Because of the Smugglers feel that they can not make a Profit they don’t bother.
That is exactly what we see right now where Iranian Oil production is down. If anything this whole Strait situation seems like an attempt to drive oil prices up.

And typical Ideology over reality.
Russia doesn’t want a war on their boarder. China wants secure oil in their future. But so far neither is selling the most advanced anything to Iran.

There is no black/white market and so on.

If China wants then he can insure the shipments of Iran. No issue with that. Same for Russia. Or Germany . Or Mexico.

All USA sanction is nothing else just penalty for anyone that making business with Iran.
It worth as much as the USA weight.

So, two more burning tanker in the strait, and the whole USA sanction worth nothing.

Except if they can not make normal exchange of funds and can get the same product via other methods that are less restricted by those trades.

And the US is the largest economy in the world which makes trying to not deal with it a hard choice.
Mexico by the way is an oil producing nation.

Not two tankers reports of tanker attacks started in May with two more for four Tankers. Add in the rocket attacks and Drone.

Before starting to bully someone, make self-protection first. The sad fact is that the US doesn't know the rule. Trump thought it's going to be an easy win in his Iran gamble, but he is slammed at face by Iran's shooting down the drone. It shows to the world that the US is a toothless, stupid bully.
The facts on the shootdown demonstrated that the Iranians were not following the international rules. The US had provided the evidence on the flight coordinates of the drone which was inside international airspace. The Iranians did not dispute those facts other than holding onto their official position that the drone entered their country’s “flight information region”, which is “not the same as international airspace”. In other words, Iran choose to advance a narrative not consistent with international rules. Attacking another country's assets in international airspace is an overt aggression. Under international rules of conflict, the US has every right to respond to such aggressions. The US in this instance is acting with restrain as an act of goodwill to the international community. Such goodwill also has limits and will degrade with every action by the Iranian. It is now on notice.

Google keyword :"radar equation"

It is simple, if a radar can see a mig21 ( 1 sqm) fro 100 km ,then it can see a 0.0625 sqm target from 50km, a 0.0039 sqm target from 25 km and so on.

So ,depending on the real RCS number of F35 , it can be seen in SEARCH mode by a Khordad-3 radar somewhere between 20-50 km distance.

If the radar has clue from a VHF early radar then the detection range can be longer ( up to double )

So, the no go zone around each Khordad-3, BUK and so on is around 20-50 km for stealth aircraft. Get closer and the plane killed.
You have a tendency to respond with a bunch of stuff that are remotely related but yet not directly addressing the discussion points. I am not asking for a formula on radar equation. The question is how does it apply specifically to the Khordad or Sayyard since that was your whole point.

No, what "facts"? What coordinates did the US provide? That's America's story and not evidence of anything. The Iranians disputed all that and gave their version of the events complete with time and coordinates here: (

). Iran says they have evidence of the drone being in their airspace and they're taking the case to the UN. That's about as solid a rebuttal to America's assertions as it gets. And no matter what the technical legalities are, this is obviously a case of the US poking Iran to see how annoying they can be until Iran will not stand for it anymore. The incident is entirely caused by US aggression for even being in the area. When the US shows "restraint" it's because it doesn't think it can get away with it; everybody knows that Trump is up all day all night thinking about how to show everybody how "strong" a leader he is. When he doesn't act strong, it's because the consequences are just too colossal to bear, never because he's "being nice" or showing restraint. The "goodwill" was accepted by no one and Iran has instead said that the US cyber attacks failed and if another drone shows up in Iran again, it's getting shot down too.

To the best of my knowledge, what we have from the public evidence suggests that the drone was in Iranian airspace although it does not confirm or prove it. The only thing we have is that Iran retrieved pieces of the drone in its waters but it's not definitive because the parts can drift. If the US wanted to prove it was downed in international airspace, it should be relatively simple: go the the international waters where it was downed and retrieve the sunken body in front of a UN group/panel. The waters are certainly shallow enough. That they haven't done this suggests to me that they know the results won't be good. Of course Iran should also be able to do this if it were in their waters but this is a task that I am certain the US can do while I'm unfamiliar with Iran's salvage capabilities. I'm willing to wait for the UN conclusion but before then, there's certainly no indication that the US is more honest than Iran but there are suggestions of the inverse.

U.A.E. won't endorse US claims of oil tanker attack

U.A.E. Splits With U.S. Over Blame for Oil Tanker Attack in May

“Honestly we can’t point the blame at any country because we don’t have evidence,” Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan said on Wednesday in Moscow. “If there is a country that has the evidence, then I’m convinced that the international community will listen to it. But we need to make sure the evidence is precise and convincing.”

Whats happened with the oil export of Iran is not connected to sea blockade, but due to the impossibility to get insurance for the oil shipments to/from Iran.

But if one-two more tanker damaged in the Persian gulf then it will be impossible to get insurance for any tanker from Saudi Arabia as well.

Most of Iranian oil exports nowadays are in the ways of grey market. Outsiders don't know how much Iranian oil has been shipped out, by what means the oil has been shipped out, how the oil shipments are financed or insured, who are the biggest buyers,...etc. But, one thing people is certain: Iranian oil exports are still alive and well.

If Trump wishes to have his "maximum pressure" sanction work to cut Iranian oil exports to zero, the US would have to (1) send a lot of gun-boats to China's shores to force China to close the Shanghai International Energy Exchange, which is likely the place where smuggled Iranian oil is traded, just as the British did to China in 1940, (2) install a completely Iranian oil export blockage from sea, land, and air, which is going to ask for a very big US military deployment around Iran, (3) arrest all oil brokers that work for Iranian oil grey market, and (4) arrest all buyers that buy the smuggled Iranian oil in the grey market, one of which definitely China.

Can the US accomplish the above jobs? Nooooooo way!

Grey market is black market. It’s where somebody decided to line his pockets by passing off One nations Oil as that of another.
Again the best counter to that is to keep the costs down to a point where only a handful of bad actors do it because they can’t match the competition’s prices.

I would not be surprised if the Iranian oil was being passed around as Turkish or Iraqi oil.

There was also recent news of a new railway from Russia to Iran via Azerbaijan. I don't know what exactly is to be traded on it.

The Russians are not sanctioning the Iranians. Why should they?
