Is type 99 camo is completely phased out ? I have seen few pics of type 99 in training and many times it has blended a lot better on enviroment than digital camos (especially after it's worn out little).
US special forces still use woodland in places like Syria because it's very effective after gettin worn out.

In the case of the USSF. They actually bought new gear in M84 woodland. This is as when working with indigenous forces they don’t want to stand out. Enemy snipers like to pick off people who stand out. Radioman, officers and medics are prime targets. If you have US forces (Multicam) working with local forces (M84 Woodland), the differences will stand out and the enemy will prioritize the US forces.

Well it (the vest’s pattern) is a Multicam clone. So it should work so-so most places. In mountain which is what that is.
Desert, Mountain, woodland, urban even snow to varying degrees. By tweaking the color mix you can get Multicam to work better or worse in some areas more greens more woodland less greens more desert more Greys gets you more snow.
This isn't multicam though. This is the one with white spots all over the place.

That’s why I said a clone and Multicam has white spots in it it’s one of the 7 colors.

About time for an upgrade? Their Clear Duty 3218s are almost a decade old and the QGF03s are already obsolescent. They could really put those AirLite clones and high-cuts+headsets seen a couple months ago to good use. Should cost almost nothing compared to the 055s the Navy has been pumping out.
On a side note, those subdued PLAN flag patches look pretty nice.
