I see products that claim to have gen 3 I2 tubes.
Gen 3 tubes are ITAR controlled. Are these tubes Chinese?
I think that's a different Argus. The Argus that makes the BNVD-1431 is based out of Tianjin. They make only the housing (and other accessories), not the actual tubes. Apparently, they only recently set up an around the time of this police equipment expo but they were active in the night vision market prior.
Argus also has a facebook and instagram account:
maybe they are from different manufacturers? I notice the PLA summer BDUs have different hues as well.It looks like there are two variations/iterations of PAP's summer combat uniforms. Note the subtile but obvious differences in patterns and color palettes.

The camouflage patterns are different, so these are likely two different iterations.
