I think it's pretty clear now that the type 95 vest, standard issued or not will be covered in type 21 camo and still be in service for quite a while, parallel to the handling of type 21 vest. so I figured not be bothering to post anything more on it from now

don't mind me, just some dumb images created to explain the difference between type 19 and type 21 camo when I'm way too bored

to those who's not familiar with this, type 19 is the pattern seen in the 2019's parade and apparently issued to some special forces and recon units, and type 21 is the more commonly seen pattern in type 21 uniform, if you ask me why this happened I'd say it's probably budget control, I mean, you wouldn't spot a that much of a difference from, say 1km away so what's the point, the same situation with there type 87 camo and the original m81 camo

the original picture if you want

I wonder if the PLA will ever start training with body armor (for non-elite troops and troops not on the frontline)? If it's too expensive to equip every soldier, at least rotate some units to have them become accustomed to it in combat situations.

I believe these are either marines or naval special forces. The soldier on the right wears a different low-visibility patch design that has a light background with dark texts. Not sure if this design is experimental. The patch worn by the soldier in the middle is the standard design.

At minimum they're definitely PLAN Marines, but if they are commandos then I'm pretty disappointed they also don't know how to wear their brand-new carriers properly. As for the new low-viz patches they seem like a sensible upgrade to maximize formation ID in the field. Was never a fan of the standing dark-blended markers, especially when you need to be able to ID adjacent formations on the go as scheme of maneuver has a tendency to change dynamically during the natural flow of an engagement.
