NATO includes armies with top of the line infantry kit (US, UK + some others) and other armies somewhat less well equipped - I cannot imagine the line infantry of Greece, Turkey, Portugal, Bulgaria, Romania etc. being equipped as well as US infantry. SpecOps is another matter. From what I've seen of PLAGF since being on here I would put them somewhere in the middle.
Looking at recent pictures from here, PLA spec ops seem worse equipped than some regular infantry units (eg. US, UK, Australia)

I remember this guy I was uncertain wether if he was a part of the Sea Dragon Unit

His gear remained weirdly inconsistent tho yes PLA SOF usually are better geared than Ordinary PLAView attachment 88160

Hopefully he'll get a proper QBZ192 rather than practicing with a dummy QBZ192

Correction: South Blade Unit

China has a long way to go before catching up with western militaries in terms of infantry gear/CQB tactics. For much of the last 29 years resources have been dedicated to aircraft and ship development and even vehicle deliveries to the army have slowed somewhat. Hopefully the situation could be rectified. We see some impetus for change in the Northern Theater command.
